Andrew Wheeler, the new acting chief for the Environmental Protection Agency, scheduled addressed the agency’s employees days after Scott Pruitt resigned amid several investigations into his ethical behavior.
Andrew Wheeler talked to EPA employees today. Watch his remarks in the player above.
Wheeler, a former coal lobbyist, is unlikely to deviate from the Trump administration’s goal of rolling back Obama-era regulations, experts say.
Last week, President Donald Trump tweeted the news of Pruitt’s exit, saying the former EPA chief did an “outstanding job” during his nearly 17-month tenure at the agency.
In his resignation letter, Pruitt told Trump that it was an “honor to serve” in the president’s Cabinet, adding that “the unrelenting attacks on me personally, my family, are unprecedented and have taken a sizable toll on all of us.”
